This text to image engine reads plain language. No model syntax required. Prompts can carry subject, style, mood, and background in one line. DreamUp ships with named styles such as Anime, Anthro, Photographic, Fantasy, Vaporwave, Low-poly, Origami, Line Art, Clay, Cinematic, 3D Model, and Pixel Art. Picking one sets the overall look in a single click. That helps people who know the result they want but not the vocabulary to describe it. You can still override the style with prompt text when you need something more specific.

Beyond the basic prompt box, DreamUp exposes an aspect ratio control, a prompt strength setting, and a negative prompt field. Prompt strength governs how tightly the output follows your wording, and a negative prompt lets you name what you don't want in the frame. These are the same levers heavier generators use, minus the model-swapping and checkpoint management.

If your prompt names a real artist, DreamUp's policy requires you to tag that artist when you submit the image. Ignoring it can cost you the deviation or your account. Creators can also apply to opt out of having their style referenced in others' DreamUp prompts, and a credit appears when a style is used as inspiration. It's the clearest attempt among mainstream generators to keep named artists in the loop.

DeviantArt gives each account a say in how its images feed AI training: you choose whether external AI models and platforms may train on your deviations. Generated images live in DreamUp and your Studio. You can access or submit them as deviations at any time. The controls are account-level rather than per-image, so you set your stance once.

Free accounts get 30 images from 10 prompts a week. Core membership can generate up to 1,000 free prompts a month depending on the plan tier, and members can buy extra prompts with DeviantArt Points in packs starting around $5 for 400 Points once the monthly allowance runs out. Submitting a generated image as a deviation takes a few clicks from the same menu you use on your own uploads. AI work sits in your normal feed, folders, and profile rather than a side channel.
