What Is Andi
Andi is an AI search engine from Andi Inc., backed by Y Combinator (Winter 2022) and founded by Angela Hoover and Jed White. It sets out to fix what a lot of people dislike about modern search: ads, SEO spam, and results that bury the answer under ten links. The limits matter as much as the strengths. Andi is free, which is great, but it's run by a two-person team, and that shows in places. No file upload. No focus modes. No deep-research agent like you'd get from Perplexity Pro. So for serious literature reviews, you'll probably reach for something heavier.
