AIVA generates music in over 250 preset styles, from classical and cinematic to electronic and pop. You're not stuck with presets, either. You can upload an audio or MIDI file as an influence, and the model picks up its character. Beyond picking from presets, you can train your own style model on reference material. This is the feature that separates AIVA from simpler prompt-to-music tools. AIVA exports MP3 and MIDI on the free and Standard tiers, and adds WAV and every other supported file format on Pro. MIDI export matters most for musicians: it carries the notes and structure rather than a fixed render, so you can rebuild the track with your own sounds in any digital audio workstation.

The licensing model is the real differentiator. Free and Standard tracks stay under AIVA's copyright, which means you can't claim them as your own, and Standard limits monetization to a set list of platforms. The Pro plan transfers full copyright to you and allows monetization without restrictions, which is what most commercial users actually need.

AIVA is built to slot into an existing workflow rather than replace it. It supports audio and MIDI input, exports in formats your DAW already reads, and lets you iterate on a track without leaving the browser.
