You record a reminder by speaking, and Aurely transcribes it in real time across 11 languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, and one more. It also reads tone and keywords to guess how urgent the reminder is, so a "call the bank today" can land at high priority while "look into that book," which has no real deadline attached to it, stays low and quiet in your list.

Typed reminders work the same way. You write "встреча завтра в 14:30" or "meeting tomorrow at 2:30pm," and Aurely pulls out the date and time on its own. It handles relative time, auto-detects the language, and skips the calendar grid entirely.

Aurely uses toast notifications with priority-based behavior. Low-priority reminders notify once and step aside. High-priority ones repeat until you dismiss them, which matters for medication or deadlines you can't afford to miss. You enable "Use Custom Toasts" in Settings, under Notifications, to get the full effect.

Pressing ⌘⇧R from any app opens the quick recording flow without pulling you out of what you're doing. The hotkey is customizable, so you can rebind it if it clashes with another tool. This is the feature most users lean on daily. Capture becomes a reflex, not a chore. If you switch between five apps an hour while juggling messages, code, and documents, the ability to fire off a reminder without ever leaving the window you're working in quietly becomes the reason you keep the app open.

Connecting these three services keeps your reminders in one place. Two-way sync means changing a reminder's time inside Aurely updates it everywhere else, and visual badges show sync status per reminder. If you already live in Apple Reminders or Todoist, Aurely becomes an input layer that sits on top of them rather than a fourth list you have to babysit.

All AI and machine learning work happens on your Mac. There's no telemetry, no data collection, and no network access for the core app, according to the developer. As an offline reminder app, it never phones home to check your schedule. For people who avoid cloud-based planners with personal commitments, that's a meaningful difference, not a marketing line.

The app uses a translucent, frosted-glass look with Light, Dark, and Blue themes plus a system auto-switch. Animations feel native to macOS, and the design includes accessibility support. It's a small thing. A reminder you enjoy opening gets used more often.
