Jevtown
TypeSafe AI · Writing · Marketing · Business
Jevtown is a free web tool from TypeSafe AI that puts your writing in front of 10,000 simulated people before you publish it. You paste a post, a product listing or a headline, and a crowd of AI personas reacts within seconds: most scroll past, some like it, some repost, and a few get annoyed. Every reaction comes from Jev, a model that answers typed questions with probabilities instead of writing text, so what you get back is a reading of your audience rather than another AI opinion.

About Jevtown
What Is Jevtown
Jevtown works as an AI audience testing tool you can write against. It lives at jevtown.ivanhabor.com and needs no sign-in. Trying it costs nothing. You give it text, and the town shows you how a crowd would receive it.
The point isn't engagement bait. It's finding out whether a headline lands, whether a listing reads as spam, or whether a product at a given price would sell. This is post testing at its most direct. The tool answers those questions with numbers and named personas instead of a vague thumbs up.
The obvious limit: the town isn't real people. Jev only knows work, age, interests, money and shopping. If your text hinges on something outside those dimensions, the reaction may miss the point. So how much should you trust it? Treat the output as a stress test, not a substitute for a real launch.
Getting Started
- Open jevtown.ivanhabor.com in a browser. It's web-only, with no account or install.
- Paste the text you want tested: a social post, a listing, a product description or a headline.
- Optionally add words describing whom the text is for, like "people who work in IT and are into startups", so only matching personas respond.
- Watch the crowd react and read the audience map, the like and scroll counts, and the grouped breakdowns.
- Check the Audience tab to see how Jev read your targeting words, then answer the follow-up questions the town asks about your text.

Key features
Audience Map Spread
Every post carries a 100×100 map of 10,000 dots, one per persona, where similar people sit next to each other. A text starts with the roughly 600 people Jev thinks it's for. It spreads further only while the crowd is glad to see it. A strong post visibly travels across the map. Spam and scam listings die in the first wave.
Plain-Words Audience Targeting
You describe the intended reader in ordinary language, such as "people who work in IT and are into startups", and only personas who fit every part read the text. There's nothing to connect or configure, because Jev reads the words directly. The Audience tab then shows how it interpreted them, which matters since vague phrases get folded into broader groups than you might expect.
Grouped Reaction Breakdown
The tool sorts reactions by interest, job, age, temper, budget, city and what people are shopping for. Point at any group and its people light up on the map, so you can see exactly which slice of the crowd stopped, liked the text or got annoyed by it.
Named Voices and Follow-Up Questions
When a check closes, the town asks up to three more questions tied to the people it reached. Those who scrolled past say why, those who liked it say what made them stop, and for a post those who stopped share what they'd write in the comments. The output includes named personas, so a result reads like "Svitlana, 62, civil servant, Kharkiv · wrote to the seller".
Price Ladder Testing
For a product, you set a ladder of prices and Jevtown reports how many personas would buy at each step and which price earns the most. It's a quick way to sanity-check pricing before a real sales page goes up.
Text Quality Questions
Up to three yes-or-no questions about the text itself ride along with the first request. A listing gets asked whether the first sentence says what's for sale. Does the reader know what to do? Does the text include a concrete number, name or example? These reflect Jev's reading of your writing, not the crowd's mood.
Pros and cons
Pros
- No sign-in and no setup, so you can test a post in seconds.
- The audience map gives an instant visual read on whether a text spreads or dies.
- Grouped breakdowns by job, age and interest are specific enough to act on.
- Named personas and follow-up answers explain the reaction instead of just scoring it.
- Free to use, which makes it easy to test many drafts.
Cons
- The personas are simulated, not real people, so results can't predict your actual audience.
- Jev only understands work, age, interests, money and shopping, which means texts about anything else may get misread.
- There's no public info on an API, so you can't plug it into an existing workflow.
- The tool is new and documentation is thin, so some behaviors take trial and error to learn.
Frequently asked questions
