Creavit Studio is a native macOS screen recording and video editing app. You pick what to capture, and the recording starts the moment you choose a source, so there's no separate record button to hunt for. The problem it solves is the usual workflow split, where most people record in one tool, then move the file into an editor, then add motion and captions somewhere else. That's a lot of handoffs. Creavit Studio folds capture, editing, motion graphics and export into a single Mac app, which saves the round trips that slow a project down.
The biggest limitation is platform. It's macOS only, and the current build targets Apple Silicon and recent macOS releases. Windows and Linux users are out of luck. Older Intel Macs may not run the newest build either. Your recordings also stay on your Mac, so there's no cloud library to lean on if you switch machines.

Caption generation runs on-device with a choice of Fast, Balanced or Accurate Whisper models. Pick based on how much speed, download size and precision you want. Downloaded models get reused locally, and captions open directly in the Edit workflow. From there you can split, mute, delete or retime any line. No re-recording needed.
AI agent control through MCP
The app ships an open MCP server, so Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or any MCP client can drive it from a terminal. You can ask an agent for zooms, cuts, privacy masks, motion scenes, recordings or an export. The connection stays local. The bridge runs on 127.0.0.1 with a per-session token, so your projects never leave the Mac.
Perspective, mockups and export options
Perspective framing tilts the screen through 3D space, and device mockups place a recording inside a 2D or lit 3D device on a background you choose. Export goes past a flat video. You can ship a transparent background with an alpha channel in ProRes 4444 for Final Cut, Premiere and After Effects, or VP9 for the web.
